See below the notes' details

1
Look at the Watermark

Hold the note up to the light and see the picture of the animal and the value of the note in the clear area, in shades ranging from pale to dark.

2
Feel the Raised Ink

The raised print is on the inscription “REPÚBLICA FEDERATIVA DO BRASIL” on the front and on the banknotes’ values on their borders (R$10 and R$20, it is only on the left). Check also on the reverse at the R$20, R$50, R$100 and R$ 200 on banknote's inscription “BANCO CENTRAL DO BRASIL”, the animal and their values.

3
Discover the Latent Image

When the banknote is held horizontally at eye level, in a lightened place, you can see the value of the note in the indicated areas.

4
Look at the Security Thread

Hold the note up to the light to see the thread embedded in the paper. As for the R$10, R$20, R$50 and R$100 banknotes, you can see their value and the word REAIS inside the thread, while for the R$200 there are no inscriptions inside it.

5
Look at the See-Through Register

Irregular marks printed on the front and reverse sides serve to create a complete and perfect value numeral when the banknote is held up to the light.

6
Discover the Ultraviolet Fluorescence

Under ultraviolet light, you see the values of the notes in a bright number in the indicated area. The red serial number turns yellow and bright fibers appear, spread on both sides of the note. At the R$2, R$5, R$10, R$20, R$50 and R$100 banknotes, they turn violet, while at the R$200 banknote each fiber presents three colors: red, light blue and dark blue.
