General information and summary of the results
- Informants
- Juristic persons in the country
- holders of direct or indirect share of non-residents with 10% of voting capital stock/quota or 20% of total capital;
- debtors of credits to non-residents. Balance > R$10 thousand on 12/31/2000.
- Released from "declaration formulary"
- who declared in 1996 and is no longer obliged;
- corporations receiving investments and debtors that assess their tax by presumed profit and do not prepare balance sheet under the corporations’ law.
- Juristic persons in the country
- Persons released from giving information
- Natural persons;
- Direct administration bodies of the Federal Government, States, Federal District and Municipalities;
- Managers of portfolios, funds and programs regulated by Resolutions no. 1,289/87 (Annex III and IV), 1,968/92 (investment in Mercosul securities), 2,247/96 (mutual fund of investment in emerging corporations), 2,248/96 (real estate investment), and Law no. 8,031/90 (privatization mutual fund).
- Representative of foreign investor in investments under Resolution no. 2,689/00;
- Juristic person debtor of foreign credit transfer made by institution in the country;
- Non-profit organization maintained by non-resident contributions;
- Corporations receiving investments and debtors that assess their tax by presumed profit and do not prepare balance sheet under the corporations’ law.
Information requested- Identification
- corporate name, CNPJ, address, juristic nature, operating condition, economic activity, composition of capital (number and value of stocks);
- balance sheet; income statement; other accounting information, exports and imports.
- Legislation
- Law no. 4,131/62 – Articles 55, 56 and 57;
- Circular no. 3,039 (6/8/2001) – publicizes the Census and determines who shall inform and who is released;
- Circular no. 3,055 (8/9/2001) – term from 6/11 to 8/10 extended to 8/31;
- Resolution no. 2,883 (8/30/2001) – penalty of 20% under Article 58 of Law no. 4,131 (R$250,000) or 2% of value informed.
